Whether you are having a rough day or just living in 2024, more than a few of us can benefit from the mood-enhancing power found in nature.
This blend of herbs has been shown to bring about a more positive overall feeling, even during especially challenging times like grieving and postpartum depression.
For this tincture, I chose to use the tinctured bark of A. Julibrissin, AKA Mimosa. This bark has been shown throughout history and in modern research to be a powerful mood enhancer. This plant can be found in abundance in the southeast and is invasive, which is another reason I chose to include it.
I also used a tincture of N. Cataria, AKA Catnip. Most of us know catnip as the "crack for cats," but its medicinal qualities extend to humans. Catnip acts as a sedative and nervous system relaxant. These effects are usually first noticed by a euphoric feeling, which lasts about 4-6 hours.
